The Creative2Creative Matching programme (formerly Peer-to-Peer Mentoring in Internationalisation) connects creative enterprises based in Europe’s Northern Edge. The programme brings together entrepreneurs based in Northern Finland, Mid-Sweden, South East of Northern Ireland and the West of Ireland. Participants are matched with another creative entrepreneur from one of the other partner regions and will work together online over a 6-month period.
The programme has already brought together 18 creatives. Pasi Hakkio and David Henderson are amongst these.
Pasi is based in Finnish Lapland and is the owner/CEO of Visual Norden LtD – a film production company in Rovaniemi. Pasi wanted to be matched with another creative from a different region because he would like to grow his business: “Because my company is located in rural and remote region, there is a special need to increase international contacts. Internationalisation is also a question of competitive advantage for people living in Northern Finland”.
