When? 9 March 2017 / 9.30am : 1.30pm. CA110, Cairnes Building, NUI Galway.

Why innovation and collaboration are key necessities in the 21st century

Two separate masterclasses to ensure that your organisation will not just survive but thrive in these unprecedented conditions.

The context of the 21st century is very different from anything we have experienced before. Processes and structures that have served us well in the past are no longer working, and predicting the future seems next to impossible.  These conditions pose unprecedented challenges and uncertainties for government, businesses and individuals alike.

In her two interactive Masterclasses, Dr Bettina von Stamm will analyse what drives the specific context of the 21st century, explain why innovation and collaboration are more essential than ever before, and enable participants to explore implications and opportunities from the perspective of their own organisation and context.

9:30am – 11:15am   MasterClass 1: Why innovation matters more in the 21st century than ever before

In her first Masterclass, Dr von Stamm will introduce the key drivers behind the current context and explore their consequences. Focusing on innovation as a first prerequisite for thriving in the 21st century, she will guide participants through implications and opportunities from the perspective of their own organisation and context.

11:15am – 11:45am   Coffee & Networking

11:45am – 1:30pm   MasterClass 2: Thriving in the 21st century – collaboration is key

In her second Masterclass, Dr von Stamm explores the second prerequisite for not only surviving but thriving in the 21st century: collaboration. Why is collaboration key? What challenges are associated with it?  How to overcome the challenges?  These are questions participants will be able to explore in small groups, and learn to collaborate more successfully.
