Fiona Mulholland

An award-winning interdisciplinary artist with a reputation for conceptual work, Fiona Mulholland returned to her creative roots in contemporary jewellery in 2014


Fiona Mulholland has over 25 years experience in the creative sector. As an interdisciplinary artist, she often uses a variety of media in her practice and has realised several large scale sculptural works, as well as participating in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Fiona has had several solo exhibitions and has been the recipient of several funding and residency awards including from the Arts Council of Ireland. In 2011, she was awarded a residency at the Leitrim Sculpture Centre and was a studio holder for 10 years. She continues to live and work in the North West of Ireland.

Fiona began designing the Mulholland Jewellery collections in January 2014 and has since been successful in several highly competitive processes. Her work was selected for ‘Create – Irish Designers’ in 2014, hosted by the prestigious retail outlet, Brown Thomas. In January 2015 she was selected for the ‘Creative Island’ at Showcase, (Ireland’s Creative Expo) and she won a ‘highly commended award’ from the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. In 2016, Fiona has since gone on to win several additional awards including ‘Irish Accessory Designer of the Year’ at the Irish Fashion Industry Awards, a Future Makers ‘Spotlight Award’ and the ‘Established Jewellery Category Winner’ at the RDS Crafts Awards and most recently in 2017, a Golden Fleece Award.

Fiona works primarily to commission and exhibition to make bespoke and/or limited edition pieces.
