Superfolk

We have a passion for wildlife, seasonality, wild food and a respect for our natural world. We celebrate our material heritage and share our passion for our world through the story of our products. Craft is at the heart of what we do. We work slowly and deliberately, taking time to create objects of real beauty, integrity and soul. Our products reflect the character and behaviour of the raw materials from which they are made. Imbued with a poetic optimism for sustainable living, we make quality, durable homewares that embrace the patina of time.

Superfolk is a design and make studio led by partners Gearoid Muldowney and Jo Anne Butler. We first met at art school in Dublin in 2005. Gearoid is a designer and craft-maker and Jo Anne is an architect. Together we design and make homewares ‘for people who love the wild outdoors’. Having recently re-located our home and studio to the beautiful west coast of Ireland we are establishing Superfolk as a brand and studio recognised internationally for simple, beautiful, material-led design and homewares.
