The GMIT iHub was built in 2006 funded through Enterprise Ireland, Mayo Industries Group and GMIT. The iHub operates various Enterprise Programmes such as the New Frontiers Programme, SME Programmes and a new Female Entrepreneurship Programme. There is another GMIT iHub based on the Galway Campus of GMIT
