Gail Kelly – Printmaker

I live and work in rural County Down in Northern Ireland. The seasonal changes in the patterns and colours of our gardens and farm land are a constant source of inspiration for me.

I am interested in folklore and legends and ancient customs handed down over the years, whether daily activities or annual events.

I use my Victorian cast iron press to print my linocuts on Irish linen, combining this classic fabric with my contemporary designs.  Many of my images are also available as greetings cards.

Modern yet timeless, my combination of black ink on natural Irish linen makes my linen prints ideal for corporate gifts, using an existing design or working with clients to create a bespoke image.

I wholesale my linen prints and greetings cards to museum shops, book shops, heritage centres, art centres, garden shops and galleries through the UK and Ireland and occasionally further afield.
