Under a creative momentum project, Lapland UAS is organising a training and networking day which targets creative entrepreneurs and graduants in the field of Culture. The event will focus on how these two groups can identify their expertise and build a clear picture of what they can do. It will be held on Monday 9 May, 9.30-15.30 at Bothnian Business House, Tornio.
Several high level speakers will speak about their entrepreneurial experience, explaining how they started their companies. In addition, there will be the chance to find out more about the various support opportunities that are available to start-ups.
Jaana Kupiainen from Employment Services and Kimmo Nurmos from Meri-Lapin Startti will indeed give some very useful tips on how to start a business.
Antti ”Hyrde” Hyyrynen, frontman of Finnish metal band Stam1na, will speak about his experience as an entrepreneur – Hyyrynen owns a production company called Medialouhos.
Jani Siivola, who owns a Management Consulting company called Reddo Partners, will tell his own story. Reddo Partners specialises in Marketing, Sales, Communications, and Social Media Training & Consulting and, on the day, they will lead a workshop on target markets and customers benefits.
Attendees will have the chance to network and may showcase their work: while graduants will find out more about career opportunities, companies could ‘discover’ new talent and meet future experts of the creative sector.
This is a free event, but places are limited.
