It has to be about the joy of making something. Letting all the work carry you, and shift you around. Playful, sensual and so important for sanity.
I am a French artist, living in Ireland since 1996. I studied art in Paris at Academia Julian and started a career as a graphic Designer for an advertising agency for 10 years.
But my interest in creating images and travelling brought me to the shore of the beautiful County of Donegal. So I paint, mostly outdoors, and create wild images with the medium of printmaking too.
I have been working as an artist for the last 20 years. This included being co director of a co-op of artists and craftspeople for 4 years, the space included studios open to the public and a gallery space (An Clachan Gallery, an Cuirt, Gweedore, Co Donegal), organising workshops and participating in international residency projects (Georgia, Portugal, France).
I have now built my own studio overlooking a beautiful valley, and sell work mainly through galleries and exhibitions.
The colours, the textures (paper, linen…) and the transparencies are what make each piece of work special and visitors are welcome to contact me for a visit.
