Helga Björg is a designer, artist, art teacher and experimental farmer. She is a ‘child of nature’ and strives to live in harmony with the environment.
In Winter, Helga teaches art and design at VMA Comprehensive College in Akureyri but, in Summer as well as in-between teaching jobs, she works as a designer and artist. She also experiments with permaculture and organic farming, exploring the concept of ‘sustainable living’.
Helga lives in a small farm near Akureyri and has many ideas of how to develop her farm into a tourist attraction. The focus would be on the experience of nature but also sustainability in concept development, architecture & experience design
Helga loves to work with creative and open-minded people. In the last few years, Helga has developed business ideas, participated in several projects and collaborated with various companies. She took part in workshops, exhibitions and conferences in Iceland, Sweden, Italy and Poland.
