Last weekend a new creative space, ART AK opened in Akureyri, North East Iceland. The space hosts artists’ studios and a gallery for exhibitions. The space can also host events and workshops, and it can offer be an ideal residence for artists looking to meet other creatives.
At the opening event on 22 October, ART AK launched KAOS – an exhibition showcasing the work of 16 artists.
Many attended the opening and the owners feel quite happy and optimistic.
The creative space will have regular opening hours until Christmas (Fri, Sat & Sunday from 13-18). It’s a great addition to the flourishing art scene in Akureyri.
