We have launched the new MyCreativeEdge.eu

On the first of March our redesigned website MyCreativeEdge.eu went fully live. The same evening, we celebrated the launch with a Creative Exchange in Mid-Sweden.

The artist Petra Staav who runs The Northern Paper Studio was one of the first from Sweden to publish a portfolio and showcase her work at the new site. At the launch, she spoke about the benefits of MyCreativeEdge.eu and she also told us about her experience of online networking.

Paper art is not very big in Sweden but through internet it’s easy to find people in your own creative field. It doesn’t need to be complicated, you can just comment on somebody’s work and the conversation is up and running. Internet is an important platform where you can encourage and inspire people and learn from each other, Petra said.

Petra was one of 15 designers who were supported by ‘a creative momentum project’ to go to Arctic Design Week in Rovaniemi in February. She is very happy about the trip and at the launch of MyCreativeEdge.eu she spoke about the outcomes. At this stage we also informed about future Hotspots and encouraged people to apply for support to participate in the Galway Film Fleadh in July.

Then it was time to cut the opening band! The band was decorated with pictures from inspiring people we have met through ‘a creative momentum project’ and different activities we have attended during the project.

The launch took place in the shop Made in Medelpad and after the opening band had been cut the audience had the chance to shop for local design, and of course take a look at the new MyCreativeEdge.eu.

Thanks to Made in Medelpad who let us celebrate the launch in your shop and thanks to Petra Staav who shared your experience and told us about the benefits of online networking.

"MyCreativeEdge.eu is easy to navigate and it is easy to register a portfolio. You can find many interesting people and exciting projects under Ideas."
